Ardglass Golf Club

Ardglass Golf Club is links golf as it should be. With views of the rugged and beautiful coast line from every hole and the majesty of the Mourne Mountains providing the perfect back-drop, Ardglass has a true claim to be rated amongst the world’s greatest links courses.

Royal County Down

Royal County Down golf club is based in Newcastle, to those that don't know it a little holiday town nestled at the feet of the majestic mourne mountains. It's an exhilarating location for a classic golf course where the Bay of Dundrum sweeps out to the Irish sea and where the mighty peaks of Slieve Donard cast its shadow over the town. Rated at number 3 in the world this golf course is definetly worth a visit.

Fishing

Ardglass rock marks (next to the golf course) produce great fishing with pollock, wrasse and mackerel to spinners/float fished baits and large conger to big hooks and baits fished on the bottom. Dogfish, bull huss and cod can also be caught here. 

Mourne Mountains

The Mourne Mountains are the highest and most dramatic mountain range in Northern Ireland, its summits crowned by granite tors. The mountains themselves are criss-crossed by an unrivalled network of paths and tracks, providing enthusiastic walkers with incredible opportunities for exploration. The Mournes are divdied into 2 very distinctive areas – the Eastern or ‘High’ Mournes and the Western or ‘Low’ Mournes. Any newcomer to the Mournes will be simply amazed at the variety of landscapes that can be encountered within such a confined geographical area

Castlewellan Forest Park

To walk around the forest park's mile-long lake, encountering some intriguing modern sculptures on the way, is to enjoy a great experience of eighteenth-century landscaping. One of the Forest Park's key attractions, the Peace Maze, is one of the world's largest permanent hedge mazes, representing the path to a peaceful future for Northern Ireland. The Forest park also plays host to the life adventure centre which offers everything from activities such as Canoeing, Mountain Biking and Bouldering.

Castle Ward

Unique 18th-century mansion, famed for its mixture of architectural styles an eccentric 18th-century mansion resting on a rolling hillside and looking out over the tranquil waters of Strangford Lough in County Down.

Walk or cycle along the Lough trail or through the sheltered woodlands and spot butterflies, rabbits, ducks and swans. Step into a fantasy world of castles and dragons as you explore the Georgian farmyard and the Lough shore, film locations for the smash hit television series Game of Thrones.

You can also head out on the Lough in a canoe, climb and abseil the cliffs, and build a raft with Clearsky Adventure.

Saint Patrick Centre

The Saint Patrick Centre is the only Exhibition in the World about Ireland's Patron Saint. The facility itself includes an art gallery, exhibition area, IMax, cafe, educational activity workshops and much more.

Exploris

Exploris is Northern Ireland's public Aquarium and seal sanctuary. Discovery pool demonstrations, run by experienced guides, at regular intervals throughout each day give you the opportunity to interact with a variety of living marine animals.

Inch Abbey

Inch Abbey is a ruined 12th Century Cistercian abbey just to the north of Downpatrick. The site is open to the public all year round and can be accessed free of charge. This is yet another film location from the hit television show Game of Thrones
